Schedule LinkedIn Posts for Profiles and Pages

Updated · Multi Post Social guide

You can schedule LinkedIn posts for both personal profiles and company Pages from Multi Post Social: text up to 3,000 characters, single and multi-image posts, documents that become swipeable carousels, native video and polls. This guide explains the difference between a profile and a Page channel, the connection steps, the limits the composer checks, and the writing habits that fit LinkedIn’s feed.

What you can schedule on LinkedIn

Text posts, posts with one or several images, PDF documents shown as a carousel, videos up to 15 minutes, polls with up to four options, and link posts with a preview card all publish directly. You can mention people and companies with @ in the text, and add alt text to each image. Articles, newsletters and events are written inside LinkedIn and are not scheduled by any tool, though you can schedule the post that shares them.

Profiles and Pages

A personal profile is one channel; each company Page you administer is another. Profile posts need only your own login. Page posts need you to be a super admin or content admin of that Page. Many teams connect both: the founder’s profile for stories and opinions, the Page for announcements. In Multi Post Social they stay separate channels with separate schedules and analytics, so a contributor can be given the Page without touching the profile.

How to connect LinkedIn

  1. Open Channels, press Connect channel and choose LinkedIn.
  2. Sign in on LinkedIn’s login screen and accept the permissions for posting and reading statistics.
  3. Pick Profile, or pick one of the Pages listed under your account. Repeat to add more Pages.
  4. Set the time zone and posting schedule. Weekday mornings are a common starting point for business audiences.

LinkedIn tokens last about a year; the channel shows Needs reconnect when one ends.

What stays in the LinkedIn app

LinkedIn allows tools to publish nearly everything, so reminders are rare here. Articles, newsletters, events and celebrating-a-milestone posts are created inside LinkedIn. Editing a published post is also done on LinkedIn; Multi Post Social shows the post and its statistics but changes to live text must happen there.

Best practices when you schedule LinkedIn posts

  • Spend the first 210 characters on the idea; that is all that shows before See more.
  • Break text into short lines; one idea per line reads well on phones.
  • Document carousels earn long dwell time; eight to twelve pages with one point each works.
  • Put links in the first comment or at the end; a text-only post often reaches further than a link post.
  • Use 3 to 5 hashtags at the end, not in the sentences.
  • Reply to every comment in the first hours from the inbox; conversation extends the post’s life.

Mobile tips

Write long posts on desktop and review the first two lines in the phone preview of the composer, because that is how most readers see them. Document carousels can be scheduled from the phone by sharing a PDF into the Multi Post Social app.

LinkedIn rules to keep in mind

LinkedIn blocks identical posts repeated across many accounts and restricts automation that likes or comments on your behalf. Keep posting to real content you wrote or approved. LinkedIn’s Help Center lists the current Page and profile policies.
